Andres Iniesta Expects Great Things from Spain

Enrique's young team has a lot of first-team experience at the club level and can win at the international level. With the football world cup approaching thick and fast, the legendary midfielder claims fans can expect much more from Spain's national team. Andres Iniesta, one of the greats of the game at Barcelona won the world cup with Spain to complete his collection of football silverware. Known by many as one of the best midfielders the game has ever seen, Iniesta was a joy to watch.

Now before the world cup, the legendary midfielder himself has placed high hopes on the current Spanish side. Thiago Alcantara, a midfielder for Liverpool, and David de Gea, a goalkeeper for Manchester United, have been left out of the team's plans for the 2010 champion. At the finals in Qatar, Barcelona's Pedri and Gavi, both teenagers, will face a lot of pressure, and Iniesta said he had complete faith in them and the other players.

Although they are still young, they are first-team players who are significant and bear a lot of responsibility. They have the chance to give it their all,” said Barca great Iniesta, who now plays for Vissel Kobe in Japan. They are aware that they will succeed at it, and it is a challenge they are enthusiastic about.
It is a pleasure to be a part of this team and the group the coach has personally assembled. Spain's only World Cup victory was scored by Iniesta, who wants to see it go all the way again. Iniesta stated, "I hope and wish that Spain will be the World Cup winners." Always ambitious is my prediction. Before Group E matches against Germany and Japan, Spain plays Costa Rica in its opening match on Wednesday.
