INIESTA WANTS FORM TO CONTINUE

Andres Iniesta has said that Barca are looking to maintain their current run of form until the end of the season.

Barcelona were one of the feared opponents in the Spanish la Liga up until this season.

This season, though, Barcelona have been experiencing up-and-down form, which has seen them drop behind Real Madrid in the title race. Barcelona currently trail Real Madrid by a massive 10 points, which has led to many believe that the destination of the title has already been decided. However, the last few weeks has been subtly different for Barcelona because they have been able to find their scoring form once again, which made them one of the best teams in the world.

Barcelona recently put seven goals past German club Bayern Leverkusen in the last 16 of the Champions League. It was a result that was followed with a 2-0 win over Racing Santander during the weekend. It was more crucial than the Champions League result because it helped Barcelona stay in touch with Real Madrid at the top of the table. Following the match, Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta said that he is hoping that Barcelona maintain their current form till the end of the season. Lionel Messi scored two goals, while Andres Iniesta hit the post.

"We played a great game in a difficult stadium. Sometimes the team gets in a rhythm, and this is a good one; we’ll try to keep it up until the end of the season. We’re entering the decisive part of the season and we’re on form; there’s still a lot up for grabs. The most important thing is winning games, that’s what we try to do," Andres Iniesta said after the 2-0 win. Cesc Fabregas was denied a scoring opportunity with a wonderful save by the Racing goalkeeper.
